Exercises at Węglozbyt
On September 24-26, 2025, officers from the Rescue and Firefighting Unit in Ostrów Wielkopolski took part in facility exercises organized on the premises of the Coal Sales Headquarters – Węglozbyt S.A. The exercise scenario involved a coal dump fire. Firefighters’ actions included constructing a water supply based on a fire-fighting reservoir, then applying effective water jets from the plots to the top of the dump. Firefighting scenarios and the organization of water backup in the event of a prolonged incident were also practiced.
